Samsung Interactive Display: the evolution of digital teaching between AI and cloud management
The integration of technology in the classroom cannot be limited to the simple replacement of the analog blackboard with a touch screen. The real challenge for modern schools is interoperability: the ability of a teacher to move between different classrooms while maintaining their own work environment and the possibility for IT administration to manage dozens of devices without complications. Samsung, on the occasion of ISTELive 26, presented significant updates for its Android-based Interactive Displays that aim precisely to resolve these critical issues.
The end of the "local profile": the Samsung AMS ecosystem
One of the most common problems we encounter in school technical support is the management of access on shared displays. Often, teachers have to navigate through others' files or waste time configuring each session. The new Samsung Account Management Solution (AMS) radically changes the approach:
- Quick access: identification occurs via QR code or NFC badge, eliminating the need for complex passwords typed on screen.
- Cloud Personalization: thanks to Home Personalization, bookmarks, favorite apps, and the teacher's files follow the user. If a professor moves from classroom A to classroom B, they will find their workspace exactly as they left it.
- Immediate security: the ability to lock the screen instantly ensures the privacy of educational data during the teacher's brief absences.
Artificial intelligence at the service of inclusion
The new Samsung AI Assistant is not a simple gadget, but a set of tools aimed at making the lesson more dynamic and accessible. From a technical point of view, the integration of Circle to Search allows for the deepening of multimedia content without interrupting the flow of the lesson to open external browsers.
Particularly relevant is the impact on inclusivity: the Live Transcript function transforms the teacher's voice into text in real time, a fundamental support for students with hearing disabilities or for those learning the local language. Finally, the automation of summaries and quizzes based on lesson recordings allows for immediate monitoring of class comprehension, transforming evaluation into an active process and no longer just a final one.
The point of view of bisp&d: who it is for and what to verify
These innovations shift the value from the hardware to the service (the software). We are no longer talking about a large monitor, but about an access terminal to an educational ecosystem.
These solutions are ideal for institutes that have already invested in Samsung hardware or are planning large-scale digitalization. However, before proceeding with an update or purchase, we recommend verifying three fundamental points:
- Hardware Compatibility: ensure that the provided models support the required Android ecosystem and have an integrated NFC reader.
- Network Infrastructure: since profiles are cloud-based, a stable and high-performance Wi-Fi connection in every classroom is indispensable to
